Designatory letters

The IET awards designatory letters to its members (TMIET and MIET), Fellows (FIET) and Honorary Fellows (HonFIET). Professional registration
Enhance your career prospects by demonstrating your commitment and professionalism with these peer-assessed and internationally recognised professional engineering qualifications. The IET is licensed by the Engineering Council to assess applicants and award the following titles:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng);
- Incorporated Engineer (IEng);
- Engineering Technician (EngTech);
- ICT Technician (ICTTech).
Awards

City and Guilds Senior Awards
The IET has teamed up with the City and Guilds of London Institute to offer IET members direct access to the City and Guilds senior awards scheme. Having worked closely with the Engineering Council in mapping their awards against the levels for professional registration City and Guilds are able to admit IET members to the appropriate senior award without further assessment.
